Hello!

Every Professional Network has a story

The Power of Professional Networks

Hello,

Over the years the internet has evolved or devolved depending on your point of view. It is by far the world's number #1 repository of human endeavor. At the click of a mouse you can in a matter of seconds get information on virtually everything the human mind has ever conceived. In just the last 10 years social media has accelerated this information explosion, taking it to new heights.

As of this article's writing there are over 350 social media sites and counting in various countries and languages.

These social networks deal with everything from dating, family tree, consumer reviews, music, video, games, travel and more. A few of these social media networks are of course dedicated to employment and professional development. The most well known professional social media network is of course LinkediN which was launched on May 5, 2003.

LinkedIN has an estimated 225 million users registered as members on its' network. LinkedIN is reported to creat leads far greater than Twitter and Facebook. LinkedIn does have some negative issues. "For starters, the site is known to flood your inbox with annoying spam. Even worse than having to get rid of LinkedIn’s persistent junk mail, there’s also allegations that the company hacked into customer’s email addresses." - SearchEngineJournal.com

But there are other good additions and alternatives to assist employees and professional career seekers.

The following are some you may not be familiar with...

AngelList - That's right AngiesList is a great place to connect your talents and employment experience with thousands of employers.
VisualCV - You can generate a digital resume which is unique and distributable to potential employers.
Opprtunity - utilizes and algorithm which uncovers career seekers, sales leads and employment opportunities.
Classmates - This is a great site for reconnecting with classmates who you can network with for business and employment opportunities.

However, there's a NEW KID ON THE BLOCK!

This site has only been around since October 2014 and has just recently passed the 2 million member mark, a record for social media!!

This New social media player NOT only provides a forum for you to expand your professional, employment and business reach it will PAY you for your positive engagement. This engagement involves QUALITY content that you contribute to it's network. I'm very excited about this Social Media Network.

One of the many things I love about this NEW KID ON THE BLOCK is they are serious about providing quality leads, information and content to it's users!
